ACA Compliant Healthcare Benefits
DPS offers ACA (Affordable Care Act) Compliant Health Benefit Plans for DPS Employees. Coverage Options include the following (see below).
Eligibility Requirements: 60 days of employment with an average of 30 hours per week.

ACA Compliant - by purchasing either MEC or MEC + Hospital Indemnity, you can avoid the ACA tax penalty that applies on January 1, 2018. The tax penalty in 2018 is the greater of 2.5% of your household income or $695 per adult plus $347.50 per child. These penalties increase again in 2019. However, as long as you have MEC coverage, you will not be subject to these tax penalties.

Eligible employees will have the opportunity to enroll by calling 1-866-629-5456. Employees are able to join the plan on the first day of the month following their 30 day anniversary date if they work an average of 30 hours per week.
Payroll Benefits

Holiday Pay
Employees are entitled to 8 hours pay after completing 2000 hours of employment within the 14 months preceding the holiday. Entitlement Holidays include Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Years, Labor Day, and Memorial Day.
