Summer Kids Food Drive

Dean’s Professional Services is dedicated to serving our community. Now through July 31, food donation items will be accepted and delivered to the Houston Food Bank to support the Summer Kids Food Program/Backpack program.

The National School Lunch program offers 22 million free or reduced-priced meals throughout the school year. However, over the summer break, only 17% of those kids receive the same. This means that only 1 in 6 kids that has demonstrated a need for discounted food services have limited access to those needed resources and meal sites over the summer months. To aid in awareness and to help with this growing problem, DPS is hosting a food drive with the Houston Food Bank to support the USDA Summer Food Service Program.

Together we are collecting non-perishable items of foods for children to enjoy during the summer months in which they are out of school.

Mail or bring all items to:

Kid's Summer Food Bank

Thank you for joining Dean’s Pofessional Services in making a difference in our community this summer! Together we were able to collect non-perishable items of foods for children to enjoy during the summer months in which they are out of school.

During the summer many local children cannot consume the nutrients they need that were previously provided by school lunches. To close the gap, the Houston Food Bank helps provide for kids during the summer months in locations all over Houston. All of the meals provided include fruit, vegetables, grains and a good source of protein, comfort foods that are very nutritious.
