This scholarship is in honor of Gregory Dewayne Smith, a board member for Dean's Professional Services who lost a battle with pneumonia in early 2011. Jennifer Dean, President and Founder of Dean's Professional Services is quoted as saying "The student chosen to receive this scholarship should possess the same passion for change that Mr. Gregory Smith possessed."
